Phi Phi

Side-note: Sorry it has taken this long to write this post but I have been a little sick with the same stuff from Thailand :(

Other side-note: For some reason we didn’t take too many pictures here. I don’t know why, but somehow getting sick all fits in to that.

This will also be a little less detailed than the last post. Sorry! Comment down below if you have any specific questions.

Last week I gave you this preview of Phi Phi:

Which was super gorgeous. That water was so pretty.
We took a ferry (about an hour long) from Railay to Phi Phi (pronounced pee pee- yes) on the 27th. Uneventful.
We got there and unpacked. This is what my sisters room looked like:
The room that my mom and I stayed in looked like a typical hotel room. Without a shower curtain.
We then went to the beach, got lunch and then my mom felt sick again so she went back to the hotel.
The next day I got sick which was no fun. The rest of the fam went to the Phi Phi viewpoint and here is one picture that they took:

Gorgeous, right?
They said that it was pretty challenging, but from what I hear it is do-able.
The next day (after I slept 14 hours) I was still feeling super achy but managed to get  a little walk in. No pictures that day. We did, however, book a snorkeling trip at 8 a.m. the next day. So here she is:
Maya Beach:

(Fun fact: this is where the movie “The Beach” was filmed)
Monkey Beach:
Awkward picture alert:
A monkey may or may not have attacked my sister in hopes of her water bottle.
The day after that (our last full day!) we took a little kayak trip.

The day after that, sadly, we had to say goodbye. And that was all. :(

So, recommendations!

1. Walk around a lot. There are a lot of beaches to be found.

2. If there is a place that you can rent a lounging chair with an umbrella on the beach, take it. Chances are you might even get a free smoothie with it. All together ours were only 100 baht each. That’s only 3 dollars per day, people. Take it.

3. Get a hotel closer to the beach than we did. Trust me.

4. Remember that Phi Phi is more crowded than you would expect.

All in all we had a ton of fun (except when we got sick and the little kitten outside of our hotel room died)

Oh, and go on a snorkeling trip! They give you lunch!
