I have a severe black thumb, but some houseplants that I picked up at the Home Depot a few months back are still alive and kicking!
(I didn’t even know that our windows were dirty! On that now.)
Now, since I’m not a plant person, I have zero clue what they are called. Apologies! The plants provided at the Home Depot/ Lowes also may depend on the region. I do know that all of mine say that a lot of light is needed, so I put mine in our sunroom.
We water them whenever the soil looks a bit dry; about once a week or so. After about a month of keeping them alive (!) we repotted them in to something a bit “fancier”- I put that in quotations, because all of the planters are from IKEA- my personal favorites are the woven ones.
P.S. Since I had my camera out- and my cat was near- how could I not take pictures of my dapper little Maxx?
Beautiful boy. His sister was hiding.
I would call this a guest room, only because I would prefer a chunkier/ more storage heavy nightstand and a more plush headboard if it was my bedroom. That’s just me, though! I think this would go great in any style of home, and especially sweet in a beach house.

1- I love this print and I think that it would be so cute above the dresser next to a vase with some fresh flowers. While I think that TVs in bedrooms are totally a personal decision, this would look so cute in lieu of one.
2- Seeded glass is my friend. I love the dark look of this lamp and I think that it would contrast very nicely with the nightstand.
3- I don’t think that I’ve met a wingback/ boxy chair like this that I haven’t fallen for. They are so classic and would be a great place to cozy up in with a good book.
4- Here is where this room gets nautical. Topped with some books and the lamp, I think that this nightstand would be perfect for the room.
5- When I saw these prints, I immediately thought that they would be perfect grouped over a bed. Aren’t they sweet?
6- Umm… this bed. You guys. It’s definitely a splurge, but that quatrefoil? Holy vintage, Batman!
1- I love tall dressers and white pieces, so… yes. The four drawer thing at the top is perfect!
Have a great rest of your Sunday!
Long time no see. I wanted to share a mood board that I whipped up for a dining room I would love to entertain in. You know, if I ever entertained.

1- This beaded chandelier is a great mix of modern and rustic. Clean lines, but the beads are nice and chunky, so it’s not too stark.
2- I love this print. I think that it brings a great color to the room, but it is also very simple and feminine. I’m usually not a huge gold-lover, but I think that this frame works perfectly with the other dark bronze metals.
3- Clean tables are perfect timeless pieces, in my humble opinion. I love the dark wood as well.
4- In an otherwise rather modern room, I think these Pottery Barn chairs bring in the traditional dining look it needs. I love linen-colored furniture as well.
5- Back to wood and dark bronze, these chairs would be perfect for the “inside chairs”, I guess is what you would call them.
6- As much as I am a huge fan of geometric and colorful rugs, I think that formal dining rooms look great with a Persian-style rugs. I love the faded/ time worn look of this one.
7- I think that this marble and metal console would be perfect for housing drinks, a lamp, and a bowl. It breaks up all of the woody-masculineness.
There you have it! A dining room for someone who is not on a budget :)
